MASTERCLASS ON THE MINIMAL LASER APPROACH TO THE BPH

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is one of the most common urological conditions in adult males, with prevalence increasing progressively with age.
Lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) secondary to BPH have a significant impact on patients' quality of life, requiring an effective and personalised therapeutic approach.

In recent years, laser prostate surgery has revolutionised the treatment of BPH, offering a minimally invasive alternative to traditional techniques. The use of lasers allows clinical results comparable to transurethral resection (TURP) and open ade nomectomy, significantly reducing perioperative complications, intraoperative bleeding, catheterisation times and hospital stays.

The MiLEP (Minimal Laser Enucleation of the Prostate) technique represents a further evolution in this field, combining the effec tiveness of laser enucleation with an even more conservative approach that respects anatomical structures.

This advanced training course aims to provide participants with advanced pre-operative skills, technical and instrumental knowl edge, anatomical mastery with precise identification of the ana tomical landmarks essential for performing MiLEP, a functional approach with particular emphasis on the ejaculation-sparing
technique, and a vision for the future.

The course takes an integrated approach that combines theoreti cal sessions, semi-live demonstrations and live surgery sessions, allowing participants to acquire both the theoretical foundations and the practical experience necessary to implement these innovative techniques in their daily clinical practice.

La prova di apprendimento potrà essere eseguita al termine del Corso, cioè dopo aver seguito l'attività formativa per almeno il 90% della sua durata totale. 

La prova consisterà in un questionario online a risposta multipla.
Per completare il questionario ECM i discenti hanno a disposizione fino a 3 giorni successivi dalla data di fine evento, con la possibilità di un numero massimo di 1 tentativo.
Per superarlo e ottenere i crediti ECM previsti è necessario rispondere correttamente ad almeno il 75% delle domande ECM e compilare il questionario sulla qualità percepita.
